BILINGUAL AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ADVISOR (ENGLISH & SPANISH)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Day shift (Monday to Saturday)
Work Location: In person.
The Automotive Service Specialist is the auto repair shop’s first-line customer relations and service representative. Therefore, they must have strong customer service skills and have good automotive technical knowledge. Overall, the tasks include diagnosing issues, following up with customers, making sales, and assisting in the smooth daily running of the shop.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome every customer in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems and the time required.
- Schedule appointments using the auto repair shop’s booking system.
- Handle minor customer concerns.
- Follow up on the on the progress of each repair order during the day and contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised.
- Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in progress and appointments and return phone messages promptly.
- Review work performed with customers.
- Interpret warranty information and policies for customers.
- Stay up to date on technical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by the auto repair shop.
- Assist the auto repair shop manager as necessary.
- Suggest and sell services offered by the auto repair shop to customers.
- Perform administrative tasks (billing and invoicing, record-keeping, among others).
ABOUT YOU:
Ideal candidates will have proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, including:
- Bilingual: able to communicate in English and Spanish
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- At least 1 year of automotive service advisor experience
- Superior customer service skills
- Computer proficient
- Strong work ethic and team player
- Professional, dependable, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Supplemental pay types:
- Commission pay.
